“If the Junos ever hand out an award for Best Music Charity, War Child Canada would be the most likely winner. No other charity has involved as many Canadian musicians in benefit concerts, documentaries and CD compilations (all to assist children affected by war and to raise awareness of children’s rights) than War Child.”

Recently. I sat down with a friend of mine, author of Three Day Road and New Orleans resident, Joseph Boyden. to talk about New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
Joseph spoke of his experiences in New Orleans and the devastation he observed. He brought particular attention to the Native American Tribes living in some of the lowest lying areas around New Orleans; the Houma and Choctaw Nations.
We'd like to bring attention to those in need and ask you to continue a campaign of awareness and compassion for those people affected by this and other tragedies throughout the world.
TTH would like you to make a donation to your local Red Cross.
Please, with our compliments, listen to, enjoy, share and distribute this PodCast of "If New Orleans Is Beat"
Nature is our home. And just as we take care of our house, we also must take care of nature.
But nature takes care of us too. Nature cleans our air and water, makes the soil that grows our food and provides the resources to make all our material goods.
Unfortunately, with six billion of us now living under one roof, we are gradually eroding the services nature provides – even though we depend on them for our quality of life and our future.
Since 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation has worked to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us. Focusing on four program areas – oceans and sustainable fishing, forests and wild lands, climate change and clean energy, and the web of life - the Foundation uses science and education to promote solutions that help conserve nature.
